How to Measure Your Head for a Wig

You'll need a soft measuring tape (the kind used for sewing). Measure in inches or centimeters.

The 3 Key Measurements

Circumference: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your head - starting at your natural hairline at the front, going behind one ear, across the nape of your neck, behind the other ear, and back to the front. This is your most important measurement.
Front to nape: Measure from your natural hairline at the center of your forehead straight back to the nape of your neck.
Ear to ear (across the top): Measure from the top of one ear, over the crown of your head, to the top of the other ear.
